An investigation into the death of an 18-month-old baby boy from North Platte, Arkansas
Posted August 22, 2018 11:13:52A young boy died after being hit by a vehicle on Interstate 35 near Interstate 35 and US 59 in North Plattte, according to the Arkansas State Police.
Troopers were called to a reported crash at the intersection of US 59 and I-35, and found the boy unresponsive in the roadway.
He was transported to a local hospital and pronounced dead.
Trooper Ryan Sager, a spokesman for the North Platts Police Department, said that the driver of the vehicle was taken to the hospital and is listed in stable condition.
He has not been charged.
Trophy said that his investigation into why the driver’s car went off I-25 is ongoing, and no charges have been filed.
He said he had been advised by the family to keep the incident under wraps and not discuss it publicly.
Searchers have scoured the area, and troopers said they would be on the scene as soon as they could get an update.
Tropeys spokesman said that police were able to locate the car and have not released the license plate number.
