Kentucky’s Kentucky’s post-game press conference with the Maryland team post and courier
By The Associated PressKentucky won its fourth straight game, but it didn’t win the game.
The Wildcats went 0-4 against the Terrapins, the fifth time they’ve been shut out in Maryland’s last two games.
The Terps also beat the Wildcats on their home floor for the first time since Nov. 1, losing for the second straight game.
They’ve lost seven straight against the Wildcats, which is the worst mark in the country.
Kentucky coach Mark Stoops had a short conference call Wednesday to talk about his team’s game plan and the postgame presser.
Kentuckians head coach Mark Shula was asked about the post-match press conference and his team not having a win.
Shula: That’s a tough one.
I was not happy about that.
We’ll see what happens in the next game.
It was a tough situation.
I thought we did a great job in the post game, and we took care of business in the second half.
They just didn’t have a win today.
The whole point of the game was to go out and win the first half and we didn’t do that.
We just had to come out and play our best basketball, and I think that was the difference.
