Dan Post is getting the boot
UPDATE: 10:12 p.m.
— The NFL has suspended running back Dan Post for the first four games of the season after he was arrested Friday night in the Miami Beach area for allegedly punching a man in the face during a fight.
The league’s announcement on Sunday was brief.
The NFL said in a statement that it was aware of the incident and was working with law enforcement to determine whether any further action would be appropriate.
In a separate incident, the NFL suspended running backs Chris Johnson and Derrick Henry for three games for violating team rules.
Johnson was suspended indefinitely in September for hitting a woman in the head during a domestic dispute.
Henry was suspended for two games in July for a domestic incident involving his girlfriend.
A source told ESPN’s Darren Rovell on Sunday that it’s possible the suspensions would be reduced or lifted once the investigation is complete.
