Denver Post: Police investigating suspicious death of man who died after being hit by car
Denver Post title Police investigating suspect’s death after being struck by car in downtown Denver article The Denver Post has learned that a man who was struck by a car on Monday evening was the victim of a violent crime.
Officers responded to the 2100 block of Northeast Third Street about 9:45 p.m. for a report of a vehicle involved crash.
As officers arrived, they found the victim lying on the ground and suffering from a head injury.
The victim told officers that he had been hit by a vehicle in downtown at a gas station, and that he was conscious and breathing at the time.
He was taken to a local hospital and pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said that the driver of the vehicle was taken into custody.
He is described as a white male, between 20 and 30 years old, 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds, and with a thin build.
